Source: archive.org: Vagbhata’s Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita (first 5 chapters)Raktapittajit (रक्तपित्तजित्) refers to that which is “destructive of hemorrhage”, as mentioned in verse 5.36 of the Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā (Sūtrasthāna) by Vāgbhaṭa.—Accordingly, “[...] (that) [butter] prepared from thickened milk [viz., kṣīrodbhava], on the other hand, (is) constipating (and) destructive of hemorrhage [viz., raktapittajit] and eye-diseases. [...]”.
