Rājāvalī (राजावली) is the name of a work ascribed to Kṣemendra (11th century): one among the Kashmiri scholars who glorified the legacy of rhetorics with a new interpretation of the soul of poetry (aucitya). A total number of 38 works (viz., Rājāvalī) have been recorded in the “New Catalogus Catalogorum”, which are composed by Kṣemendra. He is not only a poetician but also a scholar of high repute.

Rāja-avalī.—(EI 9; IA 30), genealogy of rulers; a list of lineal succession of kings. (EI 10), royal titles; cf. rājāvalī pūrvavat (IE 8-2), ‘the royal titles as above’, often used when a repetition of the string of royal titles was avoided. Cf. Paramabhaṭṭārak-ety-ādi-rāja-avalī- tray-opeta referring to the imperial titles Paramabhaṭṭāraka, Mahārājādhirāja and Parameśvara.
