Rājanyādi (राजन्यादि).—A class of words headed by the word राजन्य (rājanya) to which the taddhita affix अक (aka) (वुच् (vuc)) is added in the sense of ' the place of residence '; e. g. राजन्यकः, औदुम्वरकः (rājanyakaḥ, audumvarakaḥ) ! etc. This class named राजन्यादि (rājanyādi) is ] called आकृतिगण (ākṛtigaṇa) and similar words ! can be included in this class such as मालव,विराट्, त्रिगर्त (mālava, virāṭ, trigarta) and others from which the words मालवकः वैराटकः त्रैगर्तकः (mālavakaḥ vairāṭakaḥ traigartakaḥ) etc. can be arrived at cf. Kas. on P. IV. 2.53.

Rajanyādi refers to a medicinal recipe mentioned in the Lepakhaṇḍa (verse 4.81) of the 15th-century Yogasārasaṅgraha (Yogasara-saṅgraha) by Vāsudeva: an unpublished Keralite work representing an Ayurvedic compendium of medicinal recipes. The Lepakhaṇḍa [mentioning rajanyādi] contains recipes according to circumstances as advised by tradition. They treat the patient suffering from conditions such as fever, piles, emaciation, anorexia, tuberculosis, diarrhea, etc.
