Rājamātra (राजमात्र) refers to a “royal officer”, according to the Ahirbudhnyasaṃhitā, belonging to the Pāñcarātra tradition which deals with theology, rituals, iconography, narrative mythology and others.—Accordingly, “The practice is to be performed for the protection of the Three Worlds, for the [welfare of the] earth, for the kingdom, the King or a Royal Officer (rājamātra). [It should be done] only for [their] good, never for evil [purposes]”.
