Puṭabheda (पुटभेद).—

1) a town, city.

2) a kind of musical instrument (ātodya).

3) 'parting of the eyelids', opening; पुटभेदो ललाटस्थनीललोहितचक्षुषः (puṭabhedo lalāṭasthanīlalohitacakṣuṣaḥ) Uttararāmacarita 6.3.

4) a whirl-pool or eddy.
