Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarypusaṇēṃ (पुसणें).—v c (praccha S) To ask, inquire of, interrogate. 2 To receive politely; to make the usual inquiries after health and welfare. 3 To obey, regard, heed, care for; to care or be concerned about; to attend unto kindly; to regard favorably. The following example expresses indifferently any one of these shades, tyālā kōṇhī pusata nāhīṃ. 4 To wipe; to cleanse by rubbing. 5 (or pusūna ṭākaṇēṃ) To efface, obliterate, wipe out: also to extirpate or destroy utterly. 6 To ask or inquire for; to call for. 7 Used redundantly after lihiṇēṃ To write; as tyālā lihiṇēṃ pusaṇēṃ or lihitāṃ pusatāṃ yēta nāhīṃ He cannot write a bit. pusatāṃ garaja nāhīṃ A phrase equivalent to "It's useless to ask."
