Source: What is India: Epigraphia Indica volume XXXI (1955-56)Puruṣottama-Jagannātha is the name of a God of Purī.—The epithet caturdaśa-bhuvan-ādhipati is really intended for god Puruṣottama-Jagannātha of Purī, whom the Gaṅga kings regarded ad their overlord since the dedication of the kingdom in the god’s favour by Anaṅgabhīma III in the first quarter of the thirteenth century.
