Source: Brill: Śaivism and the Tantric Traditions (kavya)Purohitapuroga (पुरोहितपुरोग) refers to the “leading chaplain”, according to Kālidāsa’s Raghuvaṃśa verse 17.13.—Accordingly: “The Brahmins headed by the chaplain (purohitapuroga) began to consecrate him who was destined to victory first with Atharvavedic mantras that lead to victory”.
