Puñcam (புஞ்சம்) noun < puñja.

1. Collection, heap, quantity, lump; திரட்சி. சலஞ்சலப் புஞ்சமும் [thiradsi. salanchalap punchamum] (கல்லாடம் [kalladam] 59, 18).

2. Flock, crowd, swarm; கூட்டம். புட்குல புஞ்சம் [kuttam. pudkula puncham] (இரகுவமிசம் திக்குவி. [iraguvamisam thikkuvi.] 266).

3. (Weaving) Sub-division of the warp containing 240 threads of skein; நெசவில் [nesavil] 240 இழை கொண்ட நூற்கொத்து. [izhai konda nurkothu.]
