1) Priyaṅkarī (प्रियङ्करी) is another name for Bṛhajjīvantī, a medicinal plant similar to Jīvantī which is identified with Leptadenia reticulata (cork swallow-wort) from the Apocynaceae, or “dogbane family” of flowering plants, according to verse 3.40-41 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The third chapter (guḍūcyādi-varga) of this book contains climbers and creepers (vīrudh). Together with the names Priyaṅkarī and Bṛhajjīvantī, there are a total of eight Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.

2) Priyaṅkarī (प्रियङ्करी) is also mentioned as a synonym for Śvetakaṇṭakārī, a medicinal plant related to Kaṇṭakārī, according to verse 4.33-36. The fourth chapter (śatāhvādi-varga) of this book enumerates eighty varieties of small plants (pṛthu-kṣupa). Together with the names Priyaṅkarī and Śvetakaṇṭakārī, there are a total of twenty-four Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.
