Pratiyātana (प्रतियातन).—Requital, retaliation; as in वैरप्रतियातनम् (vairapratiyātanam); अयं हि कालोऽस्य दुरात्मनो वै पार्थस्य वैरप्रतियातनाय (ayaṃ hi kālo'sya durātmano vai pārthasya vairapratiyātanāya) Mahābhārata (Bombay) 8.9.14.
