Pratipāna (प्रतिपान).—

1) Water for drinking.

2) Drinking, giving a drink; अश्वानां प्रतिपानं च खादनं चैन सोऽन्वशात् (aśvānāṃ pratipānaṃ ca khādanaṃ caina so'nvaśāt) Rām. 2.5.47.
