Source: archive.org: Geography in Ancient Indian inscriptionsPrasannapura (प्रसन्नपुर) is described as a city decorated with the series of gardens and forests in Mallar Plates of Vyāghrarāja. Thecity was situated on the banks of the river Niḍilā. The river and the city mentioned above have not been identified so far. It is certain, however, that the city stood in the neighbourhood of modem Sirpur. It appears to have been named after the king Prasanna or Prasanna-mātrā of Śarabha-pura.
The history of India traces the identification of countries, villages, towns and other regions of India, as well as mythology, zoology, royal dynasties, rulers, tribes, local festivities and traditions and regional languages. Ancient India enjoyed religious freedom and encourages the path of Dharma, a concept common to Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.
