Prāptijña (प्राप्तिज्ञ).—A person who knows only the application of a rule and the realization from it of the form that can be arrived at, as opposed to one who knows the form that is desired or current; cf प्राप्तिज्ञो देवानां-प्रियः न त्विष्टिज्ञः इष्यते एतदूपमिति । (prāptijño devānāṃ-priyaḥ na tviṣṭijñaḥ iṣyate etadūpamiti |) M.
