Pramudāvaha (प्रमुदावह) refers to a “pleasing (story)”, according to the Śivapurāṇa 2.3.38 (“Description of the dais or maṇḍapa”).—Accordingly, as Himavat prepared the wedding of Menā and Śiva: “[...] Thus for propitiating Śiva, wonderful and very brilliant structures were erected by Viśvakarman. Making all arrangements in accordance with worldly conventions, Himavat awaited eagerly for the arrival of Śiva. Thus, O divine sage, I have narrated the pleasing (pramudāvaha) story of Himavat entirely. What else do you wish to hear?”.
