Source: academia.edu: A Study and Translation of the GaganagañjaparipṛcchāPradīpapāṇi (प्रदीपपाणि) is the name of a Bodhisattva, according to the Gaganagañjaparipṛcchā: the eighth chapter of the Mahāsaṃnipāta (a collection of Mahāyāna Buddhist Sūtras).—Accordingly, “Then the Bodhisattva, the great being named Pradīpapāṇi joined this assembly, was seated with them, and addressed himself to the Lord ‘O Lord, which Bodhisattva becomes one who gives away in this?’”.

Mahayana (महायान, mahāyāna) is a major branch of Buddhism focusing on the path of a Bodhisattva (spiritual aspirants/ enlightened beings).
