pōṭaḷaṇēṃ (पोटळणें).—v i C (pōṭa) To be getting gravid or big--a female animal. 2 To be filling in the ear--corn.

pōṭaḷaṇēṃ (पोटळणें).—v c (pōṭa) To clasp to the belly (a māḍa, tāḍa &c.) in climbing it: also to grasp closely and fondly (money or property): also, more generally, to hold fondly or fast; to cherish or prize. Note. pōṭaḷaṇēṃ differs from pōṭāḷaṇēṃ only in being used in different provinces.
