Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarypōṇḍha (पोंढ).—m C pōṇḍa m R pōṇḍhā m unc A dug pit:--as to receive the water raised from a well, or that conveyed by the channel; or in which to steep cocoanut-fibres or other things; or to receive young Cocoanuts &c. 2 Applied fig. to a pool or slop of water made in a house; to the hollow punched at the top of a mass of boiled rice for the kālavaṇa &c. 3 The fore part of the head, sinciput.
