Polakkuḍi is an archaeologically important site situated in Nannilam-taluk (Tanjore district, Madras), known for inscriptions regarding the ancient history of India. For example, at Polakkuḍi there is an inscription in the Tamil language on the back of a Jaina image near the tank.
