From History of Song (宋史 [song shi]), Volume 28, Annals of Emperor Gaozong V (高宗本紀五 [gao zong ben ji wu]): On the Guimao (癸卯 [gui mao]) day, Zhao Ding (趙鼎 [zhao ding]) requested an imperial edict be issued to Zhang Jun (張浚 [zhang jun]), ordering Guangshi (光世 [guang shi]), Yizhong (沂中 [yi zhong]), and Zhang Jun's (張俊 [zhang jun]) entire army to withdraw and prepare for defending the river. On the Jiachen (甲辰 [jia chen]) day, an edict was again issued to Zhang Jun (張浚 [zhang jun]), ordering him to supervise his officers and soldiers to exert themselves and pòzéi (- defeat the bandits/rebels). Neither order was yet delivered.
