Piḻḻaigaḻ-tanam.—(SITI), Tamil; status of the prince, sup- posed to be an officers' cadre composed of the junior members of the royal family. Cf. Kumāra-amātya. Note: piḻḻaigaḻ-tanam is defined in the “Indian epigraphical glossary” as it can be found on ancient inscriptions commonly written in Sanskrit, Prakrit or Dravidian languages.
