1) Pītapuṣpa (पीतपुष्प) is another name for Āhulya, an unidentified medicinal plant possibly identified with Cassia auriculata Linn., according to verse 4.166-170 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The fourth chapter (śatāhvādi-varga) of this book enumerates eighty varieties of small plants (pṛthu-kṣupa). Together with the names Pītapuṣpa and Āhulya, there are a total of thirteen Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.

2) Pītapuṣpā (पीतपुष्पा) is mentioned as a synonym for Jhiñjhirīṭā, a medicinal plant possibly identified with Triumfetta rhomboidea Jack. (synonym: Triumfetta bartramia Linn.) or “diamond burbark” from the Malvaceae or “mallows” family of flowering plants, according to verse 4.201-202.
