Like a lump of foam, a water bubble or a mirage, the trunk of a plantain tree, and the vision conjured up by a magician are, respectively, the body, feelings, perception, activities and consciousness, unreal, having no excuse. The sutta was preached at Ayojjha, on the bank of the Ganges. S.iii.140 f.
