phaṭakaḷa (फटकळ).—a (phaṭakana Slapdash!) Free of tongue (in abusing or obscenely speaking). tōṇḍācā-pāyā- cā-hātācā-phaṭakaḷa See in order. 2 That blurts out &c. See phaṭyā. 3 That lives and walks alone; self-relying, independent. 4 (Esp. in poetry.) Foul, vile, bad--speech, person &c.
