Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryphasalīsāla (फसलीसाल).—n sometimes phasalīsanna n The harvestyear. This year originated with the Emperor Shah Jehan in 1636 A. D. Commencing with the current year of the Hijra, and dropping behind one year in thirty-three, it now differs from the Hijra seven years. The phasalīsāla of the Dakhan̤ differs two years from the phasalīsāla of other parts. The years of this era commence, as those of arabī- sāla & mṛgasāla, with the occurrence of the constellation mṛga, or with the month jyēṣṭha, early in June. The rule for converting phasalī into Christian is--Add 590.
