Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryphāñjaṇēṃ (फांजणें).—v c To tear asunder; to rend apart; to split up, slit, open. 2 To open as by bruising (the head of a maśāla or torch, to make it burn brightly). 3 To harrow (a ploughed field) with the tiphaṇa in preparation for sowing. 4 To sew (a khōgīra), i. e. to finish it off with figured stitching. 5 (Properly pāñjaṇēṃ) To stiffen (the warp) by the application of pājaṇa or pēja (warp-paste).
