pēṭiyā (पेटिया).—m P (A formation from the Hind. Belly.) Belly-provender, belly-material, the feed or board, the eating (whether the food, or the capacity of one's eating, or the money-equivalent). Pr. ghasiyā ghōḍā pē0 cākara kāya kāmācā A grasseating horse (getting no corn) and a boarded servant (without wages)--of what use? pē0 (in kind or in cash) is given to persons (as to witnesses at a trial, to belted officials &c.) employed away on a duty.
