pēḍha (पेढ).—m A strand, yarn, or single string (of a rope, of braided hair, of a twist gen.) 2 A common name for the stones composing a handmill, a leaf. 3 A variety of Prickly pear. 4 n C A Cocoanut or a Betelnut tree. Used restrictedly, with some reference to the planting of them, or to the numbering or number of them in order to taxing. A patch of table-land on the side of a hill.
