paṭṭāpaṭṭī (पट्टापट्टी).—f (paṭṭā by redup.) Drawing of stripes or lines, as with ashes, over the body. An article of the toilette after ablution. Hence 2 Adonising or tricking out the person gen. 3 Stripes direct and transverse: also stripedness (as of a carpet or cloth) with straight and cross stripes. paṭṭāpaṭṭīcā Striped, streaked, marked with lines.
