patrāvaḷa (पत्रावळ).—f (patrā & vaḷa) A trencher or plate formed of leaves tacked together. pa0 uḍaṇēṃ g. of s. To have one's plate and seat (at a great man's board) removed. bharapatrā- vaḷīnta rākha ghālaṇēṃ, bharapatrāvaḷīvarūna uṭhaviṇēṃ, bharalī patrāvaḷa ōḍhaṇēṃ-hisakaṇēṃ &c. To destroy, spoil, tear away &c. one's comfortable means of subsistence.
