The arrangements, preparations, initial steps or stages of. v ghāla. Ex. tyānēṃ ghara bāndhāyācēṃ pa0 ghātalēṃ āhē. 5 (Poetry.) The back, back part, hinder side. Ex. marupaṭhāravāsī samagra || dēta bhubhuḥkāra pātalē ||. 6 The back revilingly, as broad, overlarge, unshapely.
