pāṭhāḷa (पाठाळ).—n (pāṭha) A carrying beast or a beast of burden, a beast for riders or for packs. See pāṭha- vaḷa. Ex. jō jaisēṃ kāma sāṅgata || titukēṃ karī vaiṣṇavabhakta || cārā pāṇī āṇūni dēta || pāṭhāḷēṃ bāndhīta nijāṅgēṃ ||.
