Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarypātēṃ (पातें).—n (pātaṃ) An eyelid. 2 A blade (of a weapon or a tool). 3 A blade or shaft of a rahāṭa or waterwheel. 4 A common term for the petals or filaments of the esculent sāgūḷa which imbeds the garā of the jack-fruit. 5 (Or pāta or pātī) A pinnate or a long-shaped leaf (as the Cocoanut, sugarcane &c.) 6 The lower and corresponding member of a jōkaḍa or yoke (where there are two members). In the Desh jōkaḍa is applied esp. to the upper piece. By some this is called śivaḷa (or śiūḷa, śivūḷa, śivāḷa &c.)
