Pāruṣika (पारुषिक).—(1) adj. (also °ṣaka 2, q.v.; to Sanskrit paruṣa plus -ika), harsh in speech: Divyāvadāna 301.24; Gaṇḍavyūha 228.14; 352.18; Bodhisattvabhūmi 168.11; (2) (-pānam), according to Dutt, juice of Grewia asiatica: Mūla-Sarvāstivāda-Vinaya i.ii.19 (compare prec., 1).
