Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarParśvādi (पर्श्वादि).—A class of words headed by the word पर्शु (parśu) to which the tad. affix अ (a) (अण् (aṇ)) is added without any change of sense provided the words पर्शु (parśu) and others, to which the affix अ (a) is to be added mean fighting clans; e. g. पार्शव, आसुरः, राक्षसः, दाशार्हः (pārśava, āsuraḥ, rākṣasaḥ, dāśārhaḥ) etc. cf. Kaas. on V. 3.117.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
