Accordingly, “Pārṣṇisamastā-jāti should be played on the face of ūrdhvāṅkika and dakṣiṇa by quick strokes in the vitasta-mārga, and it is to be applied in movements of Erotic and Comic Sentiments. Pārṣṇisamastā-jāti should be played with karaṇas—tatthiṃ kaṭaṃ maṃcchi and dhandrāṅ gudheṅ gu dhitaṅ, with the pressure of the pārṣṇi. This is to be applied to the movement of superior male character of calm type, and of the Dānavas”.
