Paṟpanāpaṉ (பற்பநாபன்) (Tamil) (in Sanskrit: Padmanābha) refers to one of the Twelve Sacred Names of Viṣṇu (Dvādaśamūrti), according to the chapter 2.7 of the Tiruvāymoḻi.—Paṟpanāpaṉ and Tāmōtaraṉ are the lords. Padmanābha is the kalpavṛkṣa, ambrosia and megha “cloud”. He is the Lord of Vēṅkaṭam. He is Lord of the hill, Veṟpaṉ. Other epithets that come under Caturviṃśati are notified in the ‘Nālāyiram’ sporadically.
