Pariṇāyakaratna (परिणायकरत्न) or simply Pariṇāyaka refers to the “advisor jewel” and represents the seventh of the “seven jewels of universal monarchs” (saptaratna) as defined in the Dharma-saṃgraha (section 85). The Dharma-samgraha (Dharmasangraha) is an extensive glossary of Buddhist technical terms in Sanskrit (e.g., pariṇāyaka-ratna). The work is attributed to Nagarguna who lived around the 2nd century A.D.
