parihārapatha : (m.) a round about away, circular road.

Parihārapatha refers to: “circle road, ” i.e. (1) a roundabout way DhA. II, 192. (2) encircling game D. I, 6=Vin. II, 10 (explained as “bhūmiyaṃ nānāpathaṃ maṇḍalaṃ katvā tattha pariharitabbaṃ pariharantānaṃ kīḷanaṃ” DA. I, 85; translated as “keeping going over diagrams” Dial. I. 10, with remark “a kind of primitive hop-scotch”). (Page 439)

Note: parihārapatha is a Pali compound consisting of the words parihāra and patha.
