Paramecura is short for Paramecuravinnakaram, which refers to one of the 108 divyadesas according to Priyavaccan Pillai’s compendium of the Ramayana based on the Nalayirativviyappirapantam.—Paramecura-vinnakaram is the Vaikuntha Perumal Temple, built by Nandivarman Pallavamalla. The temple is astanga-vimana, accommodating the seated, standing and reclining forms of the Lord. The Pallava was a contemporary of Tirumankai Alvar. The temple is dated the early 9th Century CE.
