Paramātmatattva (परमात्मतत्त्व) refers to the “reality of the paramātman”, as discussed in chapter 9 of the (third section of the) Bṛhadbrahmasaṃhitā: a Pāñcarātra text containing over 4600 Sanskrit verses dealing primarily with Vaiṣṇava theology and practical matters concerning the Śrī-Vaiṣṇava community but also discussing aspects of Viśiṣṭādvaita philosophy.—Description of the chapter [paramātmatattva-nirūpaṇa]: Continuing the story of King Bhadrāsana, it is pointed out that so long as he did penance in honor of Śiva he grew old and continued unsatisfied until Śiva himself advised the King to worship Nārāyaṇa in order to gain final mokṣa (1-56).
