Parādiguṇa (परादिगुण):—The Sanskrit name for a group of 10 pharmaceutical properties that are used in therapeutic treatment. It is a Sanskrit technical term from Āyurveda (Indian medicine) and used in literature such the Carakasaṃhitā and the Suśrutasaṃhitā.

The different properties (guṇa) in this group are as following:

  1. Paratva (‘excellence’),
  2. Aparatva (‘non-excellence’),
  3. Yukti (‘rationale’),
  4. Saṃkhyā (‘enumeration’),
  5. Saṃyoga (‘conjunction’),
  6. Vibhāga (‘disjunction’),
  7. Pṛthaktva (‘separateness’),
  8. Parimāṇa (‘measurement’),
  9. Saṃskāra (‘processing’),
  10. Abhyāsa (‘practice’).

These properties together are known as ‘parādi’ (beginning with para).
