Parācīna (पराचीन).—a. [parāc-kha]

1) Turned in an opposite direction, averted; पराचीनोऽभवत्तेभ्यः (parācīno'bhavattebhyaḥ) Śiva B.27.42.

2) Averse from, disinclined to.

3) Not minding, not caring about.

4) Happening subsequently or afterwards (uttarakālabhava).

5) Situated on the other side, being beyond; न कदाचित् पराचीना भवितुमुत्सहन्ते (na kadācit parācīnā bhavitumutsahante) Bhāg. 5.2.37.

6) Unfit, improper.

7) Outward (bahirmukha); ज्ञानमेकं पराचीनैरिन्द्रियैर्ब्रह्म निर्गुणम् (jñānamekaṃ parācīnairindriyairbrahma nirguṇam) Bhāgavata 3.32.28.
