pañcavakāra (पंचवकार).—m pl (S) The five va, the five words beginning with the letter va, expressing good things which every body ought to possess or seek after; viz. vidyā, vapu, vācā, vastra, vibhava Knowledge, robustness or plumpness of body, elocution, proper apparel, greatness or opulence. Ex. vidyayā vapuṣā vācā vastrēṇa vibhavēnavā || vakāraiḥpañcabhirhīnō narō- nāpnōti gauravaṃ ||.
