Pañcārthika or Pāñcārthika.—(CII 4; IA 18), same as Pañcārtha, the Pāśupata sect of the Śaivas; a follower of the Pāśupata sect. Note: pañcārthika is defined in the “Indian epigraphical glossary” as it can be found on ancient inscriptions commonly written in Sanskrit, Prakrit or Dravidian languages.
