Pallatthikā (पल्लत्थिका).—(= Pali id.; MIndic for Sanskrit paryastikā, the form used Mahāvyutpatti 8544), name of some posture or attitude regarded as undignified for a monk; the exact meaning is differently given, see refs. in [Pali Text Society’s Pali-English Dictionary]; [Prātimokṣasūtra des Sarvāstivādins] 536, note 2 (app. Finot's only source reads so, he em. paryastikā with Mahāvyutpatti; Chin. according to him les reins aécouverts); La Vallée- Poussin, JRAS 1913.844, lines 1, 4.
