Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarPalāśādi (पलाशादि).—A class of words headed by the word पलाश (palāśa) to which the affix अ (a) (अञ् (añ)) is added in the sense of 'a product of' or 'a part of;' e. g. पालाशः, खादिरः, वैकङ्कतः (pālāśaḥ, khādiraḥ, vaikaṅkataḥ) etc. cf Kaas. on P. IV. 3.141.
