pākhara (पाखर).—f (pakṣa S through pākha) The sheltering, by a bird, of her young under her wings. v ghāla. 2 fig. Shielding, sheltering, affording covert and protection. v ghāla. Ex. gōpāḷā hē mhaṇē pā0 maja tyācī || sūryavaṃśī jyācī mahimā thōra ||. 3 A side or half of the udder. Ex. ēka pā0 piḷalī ēka vāsa- rālā ṭhēvalī. 4 Half of the waterskin called pakhāla. 5 A slope of a hill.
