Source: Shodhganga: Bhismacaritam a critical studyPadadoṣa (पददोष) refers to “defects of word” and represents one of the various Kāvya-doṣas (‘poetic defects’), as employed in the Bhīṣmacarita (Bhishma Charitra) which is a mahākāvya (‘epic poem’) written by Hari Narayan Dikshit.—Mammaṭa says that Defects of Word are of sixteen types (cf. Kāvyaprakāśa, VII.50-51).
