Pr. paḍadyāntalīṃ bāhulīṃ paḍadyānta śōbhatāta. 2 A coating or fold; a detached or a separable layer, lamina, stratum &c. (as of onions or certain cakes, of stone or wood). 3 A film over the eye, web or nebula. 4 A parting membrane, coat &c. See kānācā pa0, nākācā pa,0 ḍōḷyā cā pa0. 5 A sheet spread to receive rice &c. from the cooking vessels. 6 The front-piece of an aṅgarakhā. 7 A board or cloth dividing a box, bag, purse &c. into compartments, cells, or pockets. 8 Mental reservation; a reserved or suppressed point (in a declaration or speech). v ṭhēva, rākha. 9 Reserve, concealment, guarded intercommunication.
